Multi-Tasking

Part of a modern day dichotomy

"I just came across your website ... I LOVED IT! ... Just wanted to say thank you."

And Be Ye Kind To One Another

A website visitor reports in ...

The other day I received the nicest email from a website visitor. It was a short “Thank you for keeping this website up-to-date … I continue to learn …” That was it. A thoughtful gentleman just letting me know that I had touched a life. His gratitude moved me deeply.

As I carried his kind words through the day, I began to think about all of the faceless people who have made a difference in my life. Hastily, I called the woman at the yellow pages publishing company who had helped me design my husband’s consulting business ad. I guess she didn’t get many thank-you, you-did-a-great-job calls because she cried. Then I sent a you-are-appreciated email to the fellow at Microsoft who helped me with a software issue. Calls and emails filled the rest of my day.

We are quick to complain about poor service, yet, we seldom extend a well-done to those who, day after day, are faithful to assist us. Perhaps we should begin to include in our daily planners ten minutes of thank you time for those who have blessed us. Isn’t that why we are here? To encourage and serve one another? Just ask Joseph. His kind words made my day!

"And be ye kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another ..."

The Holy Bible, The New Testament

Ephesians, Chapter 4: Verse 32
