Part of a modern day dichotomy

"I just came across your website ... I LOVED IT! ... Just wanted to say thank you."

It's Just Me

Consider what God says about you.

New friends: During the past few weeks, I have been corresponding with a well known couple. The circumstances that began our association were the God-ordained-never-happen-in-a-million-years kind. But God knows how to find us, how to use us, and how to bring His promises to pass. Now, with every e-mail, I am reminded that we are all one family in service to our Lord.

Some folks go before us, out into the spotlight of life. Some folks work behind the scenes quietly moving mountains. And some folks take on the ordinary day-to-day tasks of life that keep the world in order. I do the ordinary. Maybe you do too.  But that is not to say we are ordinary. We are not. According to God’s Word ...

We are  … a holy people … forgiven ... chosen … the sons and daughters of God … blessed … His temple … His children … loved … sanctified … set apart … assigned … His army … doers of His Word … more than conquerors ... mighty … empowered … anointed ... well able … favored … heirs of righteousness … of the household of God.

Our best friend: And if that isn't enough, the scriptures tell us that the Lord is our best friend - a friend who sticks closer than a brother!  Knowing this, we must never again minimize who we are.  We must never again say, "It's just me."

The next time you are tempted to diminish who you are and your contribution to the world around you, consider what God says about you. His words are truth.

In Him ... YOU are amazing.
